Not sure about the mark by the date. Is it raised or is it incused? I have a 1983 DDR where the doubling is easily seen. Not sure about yours. Could you tell us where you see the doubling the most? Hate to say this, but it looks like you have zinc showing through the copper in the first photo. If so, you will most likely see zinc rot over time.

Don't really see any doubling and hard to tell with those pictures
about the mark, it could be a linear plating bubble.

As stated, with the amount of zinc rot on the coin, eventually it won't matter anyway.

Hard to tell with existing photos. Need close up - CLOSER - not just same picture cropped without benefit of seeing the coin better.
But I do see some road rash on the obverse at K12-K2
