Now here's another set I have drooled over for years! As I'm in enthralled with the design of the 1800's and until our modern designs came to be. There's a certain stately charm in those designs. Especially when dressed in royal regalia. I gravitate to the classic architectural design of Rome and Greece! This set the copper cent stands out against the brilliance of the frosting of the other coins. It speaks of the traditions of a different era. It speaks to my concept of beauty!! Something I personally find lacking in current circulation coin design. I find them more functional, even though they are images which define Canada. I wonder why Canada, didn't follow The Royal Mint, with a 5th portrait of the Queen wearing her crown? I'm not a fan of a bare headed royal on coinage. It doesn't set them apart as a Royal figure. In my opinion the look like any other person, whose image graces coins or currencies. The details just pop on this set. It's easy to see why its highly sought after!!
