Indian Head Cent Wrong Planchet?

I have an Indian Head cent that is a silver/nickel color. The date is 1883. What is the cause of this? Is it a wrong planchet error? It weighs in at about 2 grams and is thinner than average. It is also slightly off center. I will try to put some pictures up as well to help figure this out.

Not likely a wrong planchet error but the weight is close to a nickel 3 cent piece. You probably have a novelty "medal" of some type but we'd have to see pictures to confirm what it is.

I think it's a poor metal mix or post mint damage perhaps. It's a 1883 IHC alright.

It's well worn, and has a hole in it. That explains a lot of the weight problem. Looks to have been cleaned which could explain the color. (On my screen it has the typical color of a cleaned bronze cent. If it actuall is silver in color it has probably been plated and used as a bangle on a bracelet.)

This one's seen better days. Looks like some kind of environmental exposure at one time than really cleaned.
