Here are 4 different images of the same obverse of a 1979 Lincoln Cent. By taking a picture with the head facing north, then south, east, and west, then rotate image each time and change lighting if desired. All this gives you a different perspective on grade. Every coin I post is with the top of head facing north. I am not trying to deceive anyone. No one has even implied that) I am only now learning how to crop, rotate and other alterations but that defeats my purpose. I continually thank you guys and gals and I always mean it. Someone is going to have to take my microscope away from me. I need another intervention.

I'll say MS-62RB. That cheek cut really detracts.

I guess what I was trying to say is depending on the angle of the picture, I can almost eliminate the big scratch on the cheek. So pictures can be deceiving. Are pictures okay? not clear enough? to bright? too much shadow? Coinfrog you always help me , it doesn't go unnoticed. Thanks

Ultimately, grading is best done with the coin in-hand--something we members cannot do when looking at photos, even very good photos.

This is one but of a billion examples on the internet. Pictures only tell a tiny bit of the story, NO coin can be accurately graded using pictures. If you could, all the TPGs would go fully digital.

I'll add to your example in striking fashion:

I would like to see you use copy paper for your background. You have some white balance issues IMO because your color is off. Take a look at my pictures above. See how white my background is? It's telling you the white balance is almost perfect and therefore the lighting and colors are likely accurate.

In my second picture, see how my background is slightly gray? It's telling you my light and color are impure. This is due to me holding the camera at an angle to capture the toning UNDER the brown. The lighting is EXACTLY the same but hitting the lens at an angle.
