Yes, it "seems legit", in terms of being genuine, if somewhat inadequately described. These coins aren't that expensive in this condition.

Unfortunately, the actual revolutionary calendar date on this coin isn't visible in that second picture; I can see the "L'AN" where the date should be, but the number afterwards isn't visible. Options are "6" (1797/8), "7" (1798/9) or "8" (1799/1800). Year 8 is the scarce one.

One thing affecting the value will be that it's not quite round. See the straight edge on the right hand side? I can't tell if this "clipping" is a mint defect, or post-mint damage; given the other damage surrounding the FRA area of the legend, I'd suspect post-mint damage. Either way, it will negatively affect the value.

Hopefully helps, best I can do. Only paid a few bucks for it. Ima get it graded, maybe they can see it better.

In my opinion, getting it graded is throwing money away. Because the year is illegible as pointed out by @sap, I think you will only come away with the type, and a low grade. Certainly lower than F.

I can actually find an example of a L'AN 8 coin that appears to have the same N in CENTIME as yours: https://www.ma-shops.com/merson/item.php?id=12085. It is recognizable by the sort of bent (rather than straight) base of the vertical stroke at the right.

Not a valuable coin (as you see from the MA-shops listing), so think twice before you send for grading

Sorry, but I don't think the grading companies will grade it if they can't read the date. Combined with what still looks like damage on the rim and reverse, I'd reckon they'd bodybag it. If you only paid a "few bucks" for it, that was probably a fair price; with a Year 6 mintage of around 100 million, these coins simply aren't as rare and valuable as their American equivalents.
