Here is a hairline die crack across the arm
and to the rim through the V of VDB.

I think I can see it right to the rim.

It looks like it crosses the vee to the first fold, then angles SE to the rim. It isn't listed as a 1943 pre-cud ( Retained Cud) on cuds-on-coins.

Nice find!

I went to the site suggested by "fortcollins" and the group of pics
"RCD-1c-1943-37" looks like the same die crack as mine but a bit wider.
I'm not sure mine goes all the way from rim to rim, but it goes through
the "V" and across the arm in the same place. Mine might be the start
of the larger die crack that's shown there.
