Would like to have your recommendation for someone to identify a Lincoln Wheat cent RPM. I've posted the coin in this forum and everyone wasn't sure for ID. I'm now curious and would like to send it to someone.

When you send the coin, what information is usually given by your source (RPM number; RPM stage; die state of obverse & reverse; key markers found, etc.)

The one place I will not send a coin is to any TPG for slabbing. Sorry, I refuse to emtomb any of my coins in a plastic coffin.

Thanks for your help with this decision.

That would be my suggestion as well. There is an attribution service there, but I would choose Bob Piazza for now as the information on location is incorrect.

So I would email Bob to check on your coin. Great images are a real plus. Include the outside edges of the date and mint mark. Height doesn't matter as it is not a factor in doing an overlay. The tops of the numbers are a plus as you can level the coin to see where the location of the mint mark is and if there is a match.

Well, the site never moved...just the owner. The site has been open all along and will remain that way. I moved from Florida to Missouri last week and am just now getting settled in. I won't be completely operational until the first of February.
