This is the obverse and reverse, but no woodgrain on reverse?
So not a woodgrain, just toning?

I personally do not consider that a woody.

Possible alloy striations but could also be staining of some sort. Don't usually see woodies that late in the series.

And a Woodie would show the classic 'wood' grain on both sides.

That's what I thought. I posted front and back for that reason. Still a pretty coin (IMO) The reverse is kinda nice!

I can't rule out a woody in this case. Good looking coin.

Also, not every woody has woody characteristics showing on each side--most do, some not (at least not visually discernable, even under modest magnification), I've found them over many, many years of collecting.

That toning pattern is unmistakable. It's due to slight differences in the alloy which caused it tone in striated patterns like that. 100% woody and a REAL nice one. GREAT FIND! 66+

Hey BadThad is this something you collect from time to time?

The actual color on this one is phenomenal! All from the same roll

Yes, that is an Improper Alloy Mix, or woody in slang.
