Floating roof for me is Ok. Legitimate.

The letters you point seem to me be more MD.

But they are just die events. When the coin was fresh, the roof line was fresh. Now the die is polished, and the device was altered. Just a polished die issue. No big deal on these die events. They are not a die variety, they are a die event.

The floating roof is a neat find, but in reality, fairly common and are not rare nor do they command a premium, I'm sorry to say.

Save them for your children. They may not command much in value now, but who knows 50 years from now? Plus, it is copper. No worry about zinc rot.
