2021 Washington Quarter Doubled Die Reverse / DDR ? How Do I Authenticate?

Usually if something like this were actually a DDR we would see it at the center of the design, since the dies are hubbed from convex pieces of metal. Report this Post to the Staff

Notice how the metal is pinched, flat, and shelf-like on the "doubling"? This is the classic presentation of Machine Doubling. A doubled die would be raised and would actually expand the raised design of the coin as there is extra negative space hubbed into the die itself. Report this Post to the Staff
