Machine Doubling most often affect many of the devices after the strike. 2. Post strike damage can affect one or many often in a direction across the coin. 3. Machine Doubling can also affect the devices on the coin in an opposite direction on the reverse. 4. Both show incuse marks on the devices. But I'm agreeing that this one is just circulation damage. Why? Because the damage is not squared in shape. Most of the time the damage looks like a 90 degree bend on the affected area. Also creates a pushed area that looks like pushed snow with the metal rising above the height of devices sometimes. (Neither increase the value of a coin. Some people like them, but when buying a coin with Machine Doubling, it shoves me away from them. CoopHome: Machine doubling and damage to a coin. How to I tell the differences?
