this 1937 missing the 7 ,and t in trust. but the rev . looks like it's starting to lam ,plus missing some leters

Yes perhaps a very slight amount of lamination and I agree that the weakly struck letters and numbers are most likely due to a little grease in the die. Fun find!

I agree with Spence, a slightly Grease Filled Die is the cause of the missing letters.

Looks like it might be a tapered planchet. With the weak wheat stock on the rev.
