I've been asked by a YN friend of mine to post this here for authentication. They've been offered this for 10,000 rubles by a guy who (according to them) doesn't look good at numismatics.

I think it's fake, but what's your opinion?

I can't tell. More photos will help.

First impression seem to hr genuine lower grade commemorative ruble.

I would also say genuine, but probably harshly cleaned.

10,000 ruble does sound like a good deal if it's determined to be genuine

I am still looking for a lower grade 1898 and 1912 commemorative ruble. Getting a bit too expensive these days...

I have seen many of these. It is a Numismatic Forgery made to deceive collectors.
