Here's a few interesting ones from my collection, now I have it organised.

A 20 pence piece from the Falkland Islands.

A New Zealand 1 Shilling.

This appears to be Spanish, judging by King Franco on the coin, but I don't recall Spain ever using cents? Or does 'CTS' mean something else?

You are right, the third coin is from Spain. Cents were used in Spain until inflation sank the peseta value.

And, please, Franco was not a king. He was a dictator during too many years (1939-1975).

Why was the inflation? It seems from the 1950s to now inflation was massive in Spain... what happened?

I do apologise, Kreuzer. It seems I need to brush up on my history. Thanks for the ID though.

It sounds terrific, isnīt it? Well, last 50 cents coin was produced in 1980, but it was nearly used by then.
Spanish economy is traditionally weak, so we suffer badly in global crisis. After oil crisis in 1973, inflation climbed up to 20% . In 80īs coin was devaluated a couple of times. As a result, when we started with euro, 1 peseta coin was a very little aluminium piece without value.
