Looking at purchasing this 1924 Peace dollar. Any thoughts on grade would be much appreciated!

AU Details cleaned, surfaces do not look original in these. That said, pics aren't the greatest.

I see what you all are saying with the glare. It does make it look cleaned. This is the listing I was looking at https://davescollectiblecoins.com/p...e-pics-m294/

I have had good experience with this dealer in the past, but their photos do tend to have that glare.

Price is high IMO. In looking at other Peace dollars they have for sale, you can still tell which surfaces look original, even with the glare. IMO, this coin is an overdipped AU/low MS at best, and not priced accordingly.

Cleaned/dipped, no cartwheel, and overexposed photos are great at hiding surface issues.

Hard pass unless you're buying it at melt.

The photos are overexposed with too much light to provide an accurate grade. Would not pay over AU Details money as the obverse fields show a possible cleaning.
