I had this proof set for many years . Is this a potential DDO ? All letters have separation lines ,this does not look like MD to me , even so to have it in a sealed proof set is pretty cool . I'll provide more pics after work . Thanks for looking

to learn much here! I am curious as to what coin and date/mintmark you are referring to? It looks like a Lincoln Cent? A tad to hard to make out much here, but errors can and do occur in proof sets.

Too close in and too blurry to see what you are seeing. We need to know the year/mint/denomination of the coin in question and see clearly the area you are looking at. If this is a post 2000 nickel, then the doubled die will in a different location than at pre 2000 nickel.

Yes error or varieties coins could be find is PROOF sets. Better photos here will tell you what you wish to be answer.
