Just in the past two months a total of three examples have been found and posted on various boards. It has always seemed to be scarce, but maybe it's more common than we thought. Until Ziggy's discovery of a major doubled die reverse 1982 cent, there were no doubled dies known for 1982 cent reverses....so you wouldn't have been checking them, thus would have absolutely zero chance of discovering it. The point is, LOOK AT EVERYTHING. Don't ONLY look at the dates that have known die varieties. Somebody had to have discovered all of them at one time or another. Report this Post to the Staff
