I've had this Parthian tetradrachm for probably 15 years and decided today to figure out what it is (since we are snowed in).
Help-With-Parthian-Tetradrachm---Somewhat-Odd-Looking-Vologases-II

This is what I have come up with:

Vologases II (c. A.D. 77 - 80)
AR Tetradrachm
Mint: Seleucia, A.D. 77/78
Obv: bust of king left with pointed bearded, ear visible, wearing tiara decorated with "hooks", behind a sequence Greek letter Β
Rev: king seated left on throne receiving diadem from Tyche with scepter, inscription: [ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ] ΒΑΣΙΛΕ[ΩΝ] / [ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ] ΟΛΑΓΑΣ[ΟΥ] / ΔΙΚΑΙΟΥ / ΕΠΙΦΑΝ[ΟΥΣ ΦΙΛΕΛΛΗΝΟΣ]; between heads, ΘΠΤ (S.E. 389 = A.D. 77/78) followed by ΠΤ?
Sellwood 72.2, variety

Month is in exergue, can anyone read it?

The reverse seems odd in that Tyche appears to be handing the King two diadems, rather than the usual one. I did however, find this example which looks similar. There also appears to be a large raven-like bird between them.

Please post any thoughts or additional insights you may have. Thanks!

Apparently it needs to snow more where you live. Thank you for sharing.

What a beauty!

The reverse is likely double-struck like the example you link to. Sometimes with these, some elements double up with these minting errors, while other motifs don't.

It can't be read because it is completely off-flan, below ΔΙΚΑΙΟΥ (Dikaios = the Just) at the bottom reverse. So, you'll have to be content knowing just the year.
