The most under-appreciated series in Lincolns. Sorry for the angle shots, but they best showed the slightly subdued surface toning. I pulled this from a BU roll NLP sold me. It's now one of my favorite Memorials!

nice coin. How did the rest of the roll compare? Were there others close to the beauty of this one? I love the color and lack of contact marks.

The roll was very good for this year. I got 5 real nice coins like this one, the others MS63ish, simlar in color. It was a true OBW roll!

Thad, that's a beaut!

echizento, if I may ask...what holds this back from being an MS65?

I see some hits on the steps, and a scratch on the jacket. And maybe some hairlines in right field of obverse.

A very nice MS65RB, but "The most under-appreciated series in Lincolns" has to be the post '82 Zincolns!

This coin is actually fully red, it's hard to see that from the angle pics. I gave this coin an MS-65 RD, it's boarderline 64 with the 2-3 light hits it has, but I think it's justifed based on eye-appeal, 98% full/distinct steps and conditional rarity. Most of these are beat-up, the steps are not completely formed and from MDS-LDS.

Wow!

That's quite a '73. These come nice but only rarely and not that nice very often.

LOL nlp....sorry, but that's what you get for bank roll hoarding!

I keep telling chrisb to open all those daggum rolls he's hoarding too. I figure, hey, that's why people stashed them away, for a collector like me in the future! I've opened every single OBW roll I've bought....I apologise now to the guys wanting unopened OBW rolls after I'm dead...but...tough luck! LOL
