I got this half dollar today at a local pawn shop, I could not resist because the color is beautiful, pics don't do it justice. I got it for only 15 which is why I'm curious if this is altered somehow. This is why I placed a picture under the scope to see

That was a great price, I would have bought it that quickly also! For the grade, probably an XFish, and that doubling you see on dollar looks like Machine Doubling to me. There is a possibility of this being artificially toned, but others would have to chime in on that.

After viewing the Heritage Auction of Toned Coins tonight, I'd say 15 bucks is one heck of a great price....Nice snag..

Thank you, I was pretty excited. I noticed they have a 1919 and 1919-d Walking Liberty half dollar for around 30 as well but they were in a case the worker didn't have a key to

EF-45 to AU-50. Not sure about the toning on this Franklin .

Decent price but too hard to grade a toned coin like this from photos.
