So in the same cigar box as the '38 Washington, wrapped in scotch tape, was this guy, also wrapped in Scotch tape. Now I've seen damaged coins and own several, but none of em look like this damage! I'm just trying to figure out what could inflict such damage on a coin?

I can't figure out how? What kind of machine/animal did they use to pull off such a feat?

Indeed, this is in its own world . It could have been in a machine shop, parking lot, in a small pile of loose pocket change in a farmers barn in the 50's that got damaged... Then ended up in this little collection.
Rest in Peace
