I will do my best to describe what I have seen on some raw MS Morgan's in person. The couple have been ~MS63 in grade.

The coin has a nice, unbroken, cartwheel on it. However they don't quite have that frosty luster that a lot of others have. It is almost like a bit more shine than frost, if that makes sense.

This picture doesn't really show it, but this is one of the coins that I purchased that have that quality.

Is this something that can be common in the MS62/63 range or could it be the result of the coin being dipped?

The gloss could be from rub, as original mint surfaces on BU morgans are almost always frosty. You could be looking at an AU-58 slider.

It also depends on th date and mint of morgan. Some dates like the early 1880's San Francisco coins come super lusterous, while some other dates do not come lusterous.

It could also be a combination of lighting and shooting through the 2x2.
