Hello from Washington State. I recently came across this 1991 s quarter in my pocket change. It is one sharp quarter. I would like to know what sort of a grade a coin like this would bring. Thank you.

You have what is called an 'impaired proof'--a proof coin found in circulation. Sadly, the coin does show very light circulation hits/dings, which would place the coin at the high end of the AU scale. I come across one or two impaired proofs each year while roll hunting. Keep it as a fun find.

Definitely a fun find despite the light circulation marks. Well done!

I broke out a lot of proof sets recently and put them in circulation in WA state, so you may find more of them.
