Great response from you all..!

Thank you for information, its older than I expected.

I have also found two silver six pence 1893 & 1944, a silver florin 1929, a silver half crown 1940 and a egyptian silver coin which I think is around 1920.
I have also found a large French coin 1856 and a Canadian cent 1920.

At least 30 thin coins that have corroded, 15 Georgian coins and plenty of pennies from the 1800s and 1900s.

Also I have found this disc which I think could potentially be a roman coin, it was my deepest find, please view the pictures and if possible send it to the correct thread, I have tried to look but as I am new to the forum I failed..! #128556;

@low, it isn't a big deal, but best practice is to start a new thread for each new coin. Therefore I have split this off from your initial thread, which can be found here: http://goccf.com/t/416245

Nice haul. It must be fun finding all this stuff.

Is it bronze? I don't think it's Roman, because it seems to be bowed, which doesn't really happen with large Roman bronzes.

But if it's bronze and quite large, it would have to either be early Roman or much, much later e.g. Georgian. Or maybe not a coin at all. I can't make out any design.

Hello Spence.
Thanks for the advice.
I will do in the future &

And thank you for your input John.
I am pretty sure it's bronze, I have found quite a few Georgian coins and none of them have them are close in thickness or corrosion.
And as you say it might not even been a coin..! &

What I could make out, on one of the sides, is a bunch of radial lines, towards a central depression with a possible rectangular protrusion. Could it be some kind of button maybe?

To be honest I think it's to thick and heavy to be a button.
The surface is quite smooth.

If you record your finds through your local PAS Finds Liason Officer, you can not only get assistance with identification but you will be contributing to the UK's official archaeological record.

It may be a lead token, rather than a coin, It doesn't appear to be copper or bronze.
