Ive got some copper colonials in old tan 2x2 paper envelopes that I'm pretty sure have a sulfur content. I noticed the coin surfaces are sort of hazy and seem like they have a film on them (no corrosion or copper disease). What is this, and what, if anything can/should I do to nuetralize what is occurring? Anyone else ever notice this? For starters I'm going to put them in standard 2x2 with cellophane windows. I dont collect a lot of copper because of its reactivity and this is further example why.

Thanks in advanced.
Rest in Peace

Acetone soak first . Sounds like a good candidate for Verdi-Care treatment not that the coins have verdigris but it will remove the haze and film from them . And keep them from developing any other impurities
