I heard of mixing distilled vinegar with a touch of hydrogen peroxide. I took it home to try and so happens it's an 1878. I think this coin would b about a 2. Does putting it in the saluting devalue even though it's already low?
It looks like 1873, 1878 is a proof only issue. I would say it has the same value, if not, more value than the dateless version.
