can anyone explain on reverse side groove going trough the o in dollar and a black marking under the l in dollarsame dark mark under the u in united are

That is a gouge on the coin. PMD
The black markings could be anything.

I agree with jimmyD, your coin shows a deep scratch.
The reason there is no mint mark is because your coin is from Philadelphia mint.
