Hey hey.
I have had this for a while.
Someone said 2 peels and a possible cotton or wire strike.

What are your thoughts?

Hi Joshredoz, it's hard to see the detail in your photo ... any chance of posting another that's more in focus?

Also agree with John1 that it's always good practice to show both sides of a coin.

The way it goes underneath the P in PENNY, rather than across the top of it, make me think it might actually be a pre-strike delamination error of some kind. Need sharper-focus pics to be sure, though.

I would say yes ... a planchet flaw though rather than a struck through, so there before the coin was struck, as Sap and Basil have stated.

I think it looks pre-strike too, though possibly it has had veridigris in the grooves at some point.
