Posted a Lincoln Cent last weekend that looked kind of similar. Consensus was a ' Ridge Ring' or 'die deteriation.' Curious if this is same the thing but on a 79 Quarter. I think it's a D but hard to tell. Thank you.

This one is a minor mis-aligned die, or a MAD . Yep, a Denver mm.

Very minor MAD with Rim Fin. The MM is either a broken post or circulation wear.

More of a spender coin, but you eyes are spotting things, but nothing real special on the coins you've seen yet. When you do find something, it will jump out at you. You won't even question them many times. You know.
