These are the last two out of the small set I picked through that I felt will make a straight grade. Picked the 25 coin Whitman cclean. There's a 1896 S I passed on too many issues drats!.Calling these two semi's G4, opinions welcome and solicited.

Agree with G-04 on both of these. Nice clean examples.

Yup. Nice even wear and color, G-4. You made out pretty good on these halves recently.

Looks like a nice matching pair of G-04s to me, too. Well done!
Rest in Peace

Thanks all. I tried to iimagine his 1896 S maybe might somehow be worth $100.00 scratched with a G4 obverse and an extremely worn barely AG3 reverse and followed my head and ran. I cleaned the barrel out the rest are no good. I enjoy these very much, though not pricey by most other series I realize a full set matching original G-VG Barber halves will probably take a few years. Pushed to hard early on with my series: Lincoln's, Buffs, Walkers ended up with just plain cobbled unattractive sets. How does one know that they don't know until they know finally know? Stopped buying on the bay a year ago cold turkey, only buy through dealers now make more buds and much more acceptance satisfaction in this hobbie. ebay is great for some I agree but the bay turned me into a quasi - troll LOL.
Going to focus on the semi-keys at the next big show in March will post results. ANACS received my 15 barbers will update this thread in 8-10 weeks with results.
