gsp193 Pillar of the Community United States 975 Posts	Posted 02/11/2022 2:22 pm 1971 S Kennedy half dollar FS-101 PR 67 Cameo. I purchased this for 74.99 shipped. My question...I am trying to determine whether or not to keep due to one black spot below the E. It looked like a shadow when I purchased it. There are not many graded in cameo in this variety so does the spot outweigh the variety or does the variety outweigh the spot and hope for the best, or third is it worth trying to have conserved and reslabbed or fourth is the variety not sought after so definitely not worth the risk. Even if the spot is reduced somehow by conservation, you will still know it is there and it will still bug you. I say return it and seek one that does not bug you. Report this Post to the Staff

atrox001 Valued Member United States 311 Posts	Posted 02/11/2022 6:53 pm gsp193...I don't think your half was the 71S FS-101 (DDO-004), DDO-010 (that is an ODV-003), or the DDO-017. I guess it doesn't matter now that the half dollar is on its way back. I would have thought it was the 71S DDO-018, see attached photo of the DDO-018 from my collection...TRUST and the marker, die gouge on trunk of bust north of W in WE.
