Exactly how many steps are on the Memorial? I know there's been changes to the design many times, most notably the 1980's series. But exactly how many are there!? Has the number of steps changed here and there?

I'll let ya know next time I visit D.C. Lincoln was 56 when he died so it was a planned amount of steps. I'm assuming it's All of the steps that leads from the reflection pool to the top

Where the heck are all the missing steps if there's 56!? I've tried counting them a few times and only get 19-23 steps! I'm talking about ALL the steps, from the base of the building to the statue.

OK, I'm putting this to REST. I'm going to check some other years, but I started with the 1990 business strike. There are exactly 19 steps.

On an 84, there looks to be 8 steps...next time I'll use a proof.

That's ok, on some from the late 60's it's a ramp.

The main reason I'm doing this for my full steps designation project. I want a quantitative measurement metric to use for steps the pecentage of steps visible.
