How Can You Tell If Your 1992 Lincoln Cent Is Wide AM Or Close AM Error

nickelsearcher Moderator United States 15395 Posts	Posted 02/16/2022 05:19 am to the CCF. Despite the blurry photos there is enough visible evidence to say that your coin is a Wide AM ( WAM) example. This is the 'normal' reverse variety for that date/mint. There are a number of diagnostic markers. The easiest for me to see is to evaluate the position of the A in STATES relative to the two T surrounding it. If the A is centered between the two T (as in your coin) then this is the WAM variety.
