Underweight US Coins Worth Any High Value?

coincadet81 New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 02/16/2022 08:40 am I have 2 coins I attempted to upload pics yesterday and ende up losi g my original post, so to back track my topic I was wondering if theres any value in undedweight coins. Like I have a 1951 Wheat penny that weighs 2.72g and an Indian Head penny that weighs an amazing underweight of 2.55g, the Indian Head penny is slightly be t but the thickness and details are still there, nothing missing that should drop it below half a gram from its expected weights, eve over a quarter gram seems a bit excessive right? I did take onto consideration regarding the Weight Tolerances, but again a half gram BELOW the weights expectant, and approx .35 below its cutoff ....i was able to retrieve my post from yesterday and pics if you woul like to jump on that topic I was meaning to put out before this pne, Report this Post to the Staff

Pics of your coins (posted in separate threads) would help. For example, if the coin is lighter than mint specs because of circulation wear then that is damage and there is no value. Coins struck on a tapered planchet in contradistinction might have addition value due to this mint error. I recommend you spend some time on the error-ref.com website.
