Hi, I'm brand new here and I was hoping to find some information, I was unable to find anything like this online. I like to collect coins not as a serious hobby but for fun, and I picked up a bicentennial dollar coin because I didn't have one. Well I was taking pictures of it because I noticed some doubling on the last "A" in America and I found that the whole word looks like it was double printed. Here are some pictures, an if anyone can tell me what I should do with this or even if its been seen before I would appreciate it.
thank you
-Jen

I think this is Mechanical Doubling and not of any significant value.

Welcome Jen....Your coin has Machine Doubling (MD) which is very common. You can tell it's MD by the "step" appearance beside the lettering.

Please read this topic from Copper Coins. It explains the difference between Machine Doubling and a true doubled die.
