No, they're not valuable. Do you understand why? Just trying to be helpful.

Like Mac and coin say: Nothing noticeable. If have DDR are a little bit but must be in high grade, which I do not see. The quarter is type I strike on a relative old die, same for all coins. due to the composition of the cardboard use in this case, the coins start to oxide. If you do not have for moment a betters one for the collection, I suggest to change the storage.

What are the differences between business strike coins, proof coins (PR-CAMEO-DCAM) an the SMS coins? Seeing them side by side helps to understand these differences:

1964-Special-Mint-Set
The followings images are the three different proof dies and comparison of a SMS coin. How there are different. Tomorrow I'm adding nickels to this thread for the same comparisons.

CoopHome: What are the differences on the SMS coins of 1964? So many different types that year. How can I tell the difference?

Here are the nickels showing the differences in die state. Note that on the fields the coins will show no die wear on the SMS nickel obverses. All markers should be noted for these to qualify for the real deal on these:

1964-Special-Mint-Set
So to prove that they are not proof looking nickels, I have side by side with the three proof types of nickels and the Side by side of the SMS nickels:

1964-Special-Mint-Set

If you feel this is helpful let me know and I will continue with the other denominations?

On the Half dollars I had to make three sets of images, Business strikes, Proof strikes, Accented hair strikes and the Special Mint sets, but together with all the other ones for a side by side comparison.
Business strikes, and proof normal strikes with the SMS example:
1964-Special-Mint-Set
1964-Special-Mint-Set
Proof strikes, with the normal proof, cameos and the Dcams along with the SMS example:
1964-Special-Mint-Set
1964-Special-Mint-Set
The last section is for the Accented hair proofs with the cameo and Dcams. (Didn't realize this until I started creating the images)
1964-Special-Mint-Set
1964-Special-Mint-Set

So while this took more time, you always learn something more about coins. But they will link to the CoopHome page to find these in the future.

Thanks COOP, with your work I can go now to see the markers in the design. I see some differences and I think the collectors must know those. will take some time but /i will come back with the results.
