Hi l am new to this forum. I have a question about this 1989 P dime that has a weird error on the right side. Can anyone steer me in the direction of what it is and is it common or rare? Thanks in advance.

@sam, first welcome to CCF. Second, can you please also post full pics of both sides of the coin? It might just be that this coin was struck from a tired die, but seeing the whole coin will help.

. With that photo it does look like a late die state coin, aka a worn out die issue.

As stated, always show a complete cropped photo of each side properly
oriented as per CCF instructions. This will greatly help us help you.
Agree that what you have is struck from a worn die which is common.
