French Medal: Exposition Universelle 1855: Any More Information?

oriole Pillar of the Community Canada 5239 Posts	Posted 02/22/2022 6:52 pm This is a substantial medal: 78.3 grams, 53 mm in diameter. it is gold plated copper. Obviously it is supposed to relate to this exposition. I cannot see an example in my internet search, and I am mostly interested if is identified in any catalogue/ has any significant rarity. I am guessing that there were a lot of medals issued for this event. The inscription above the building states: Palais de L'industrie Eleve part ordre dev S. M. L'empereur decret de 8 Mars 1853 The inscription below the bust says "Montagny F 1852" Report this Post to the Staff
