If I find myself getting cocky about my numismatic prowess, all I need do is try to grade $3 gold to remind myself that I'm a rank amateur. A very difficult series to assess.
Your specimen looks genuine to me.
I'm fuzzy on the grade because it is so hard to tell what is just struck badly -- so many of these coins never had the intended detail -- and what is wear. Sometimes I think the TPGs are just faking it with $3 gold.
Still, I think it makes AU, perhaps AU55.

Not good at grading gold whatsoever, but I thought I'd have a good go at comparing this to existing examples from NGC. Looking at AU58s, the reverses have more of the veins in the leaves visible and not quite as much wear to the lettering. I've also looked at a few AU53s, and these are a bit more worn than yours. So therefore, I judge this coin an AU55 from comparing to several other existing copies. Also, it seems the AU55s sell for about $1200.

Nice luster and a little rub on the high points. AU-58.
