I'd like the grade for this '19 Buf I posted a decade ago but never received a response.

I guess I'll now put it in the correct forum and hopefully find out.

The photos have already been posted for a long time at

http://goccf.com/t/97951

Please use this link to view this coin BUT post your opinions in this correct grading forum: NOT the variety forum.

thx

Better pics would help for grading. Probably in the VG-F range.

Those were taken a decade ago using a USB camera with horrible lighting conditions. When I can get to it, I'll hit it with an ultra modern 6S with correctly positioned incident lighting which should bring out the clarity to observe the true patina....

VG8 using these photos. the old photos I though were VF20 so thats a huge difference. I'm not sure which photos are the real representation of what the coin looks like in hand

the reason you probably didnt get a response in the other forum is probably due to the yellow filter or lighting, small fuzzy photos. really almost impossible to assess surfaces. this coin looks completely different than the original post. the obverse post here looks like the original surfaces have been removed. a details designation would not surprise me

looks like a completely different coin. Second set of pictures show much more wear and a lack of surface originality.

Second set of pics looks G06, VG on a good day and very possibly Details, cleaned.

Admittedly hard to believe it's the same coin. Doesn't look much better than Good here.

Agreed. The digits in the date are significantly more worn that the original coin and the older scratches don't correspond to the first set of photos.

These are not the same coins
