Hi. I was wondering how common this die crack is. I've seen two in my searches on this site. I'm wondering because I found 13 in one bank roll. I think it looks cool, kind of like either a fallen branch or a fishing pool.
Does it have slight value like the spitting horse or just cool to me value?
Thank you.

Hey that is a nice die crack. And you have 13 of them--that is pretty cool. I wonder if there is a progression of lengths or are they all the same size?

Spence, they all seem to be the same. They go from the base of the tree to the right a little then curve down to the rim. I don't have a microscope to properly check them out, just using the zoom on my phone. Maybe with proper equipment, I can see if they go further.

How common? On every coin struck after the die crack happens, they will all after that have the same (sometimes more added later) on the coins struck with that die. So they are common. They are die events. Not an error. To me a mint error is usually a one time happening. Wrong this or that, something struck on one coin, doe wear and events will continue to happen as the dies continue to age.
