Hello Everyone! I found this penny and it looks like it is missing the "LI" in Liberty and the last part of the date. It looks like it should say from 1993 except the "3" is missing. Am I looking at this correct or could it have just came off somehow? The back of the penny does not have any errors that I have seen as of yet.

You should always include a pic of the reverse of the coin. It can help tell a lot about any issues you may think there are with a coin because of possible markers that are already known for a particular issue or because certain events that occur on one side of a coin cause certain events on the opposite side. This coin is more than likely the result of a grease strike through. " Greaser", meaning that grease that eas on the die for the purpose of helping the blanks it stamped to release and not get stuck, got stuck in certain details of the die, like the last digit of the date or the LI in Liberty, and didnt allow metal from the blank being struck to fill the voids and so left the grease filled parts blank

Yes this looks like a nice example of a minor Struck Through Grease.

Struck Through Grease is what I'm thinking too. Agree with Waynoah83 on the photo matter.
