This 1888 indian head was stamoed 3 tines , maybe even more . Plus the united is missing from united states. The st in states is the only oart there and ut looks backwatds amd upside down . Also it has 6 angles around coin . Possibly vould be on a foreign coin . I have a 1916 Geirge v king emperor 1 anna coin amd this 1888 indian head coin lines up with it .

Just badly damaged.
That could not happen during the striking of the coin.

Stamped three times by what? A jack hammer? An anvil? A chisel?

Definitely not struck three times in the mint.
Suffering from bust half fever.
