I have this 1999 penny that's much thicker than a regular penny and has a very thick rim. Like I said before I'm learning and if I ask questions after your answer it doesn't mean I'm arguing with you it just means I'm trying to learn. Thanks again for any help anybody can offer.

The thin one is beveled and the thick one is finned, it happens sometimes. All those pics and you couldn't show us AMERICA on the reverse to see if it's possibly a Wide AM?

Looks like a die dent above TRUST. Wide edge most times means excessive strike pressure, it happens. A few too many pics. As a general rule: one full coin pic front-one full coin pic back and one or two close ups where and when needed. If we need more pics we will ask for them.

FG is too far off to be Wide AM.
if it weighs right then it's just increased strike pressure, moving some more material off the center to the rims making them more defined and squared.

I've seen a few examples of these in the 1997-1999 time period. While this looks like a dryer cent, the rim was taller. You can even feel that is is taller. The weight is normal, so it is probably just a planchet that had a stronger setup proto rim. No premium for this. But they feel like they are thicker, but that is just because of the edge.

So the rim is taller than normal, rather than the planchet being thicker.
