Hello,

I feel this medal should be silver... Nevada, special commemorative - event specific - etc., But I cannot find a comparable online. I did a key work search and google lens, but I am coming up with nothing.

Any thoughts?

Thank you!

@roma, I agree that there doesn't seem to be much about that token on the interwebs. However, the Desert Sunrise Rotarians seem to be active still. Have you tried reaching out to them? This piece is only a little more than a decade old, so surely someone there would remember these.

So I bought this medal today ... 6 months after posting. It is about 55 grams and pings 2/3 on my pingcoin app under a silver dollar. It is entirely too wide, likely 50 mm to fit any of the standard coin setting. Absent the app, to my ear, it sure pings like silver. It was €6.

I write the rotary club and the festival ... Again... To see if they have any information.

I doubt anybody in 2010, except perhaps a coin club, would be making a "silver" medal out of actual silver, and not actually say that it's silver somewhere on the medal. Silver-plated, my assumption would be.

Reviving this old thread after inspecting this medal again (it's in a drawer with some other random pieces)... The medal pings as silver under the 1 ounce buffalo setting on the pingcoin app.

Still a curious piece and a apparently a LARGE silver ...
