Trying to cherry pick a few Morgan dollars. Does the luster on this coin seem faded on the obverse? Would like to know what grade you all think this is as well. The reverse is good shape, I noticed a line on the top of the reverse but it seems to go pass the coin so it could be a hair or string of some sort. What do y'all think?

It's clearly uncirculated with a nice strong strike, but the over-exposure of these pics prevents any real assessment of the originality of the surfaces or the precise grade. It looks promising, but the pics just aren't good enough to say for sure.
If these are the seller's pics, I would pass unless the price is very low.
The 1881-S has more very high quality MS specimens available than any other Morgan.

Need better photos but it looks MS64 but can't be certain from those photos.

just a little too much lighting. overhead light is not the best for assessment. the photos are not that bad other than the glare is not permitting assessment of luster.
the 81(S) are sharp and bold. this one is AVG for the year. the rims look a little chewed up. I think its a hair or string on the reverse and not on the coin. if this coin looks exactly as the photo is showing it would be an easy MS65. if you do not own it yet then make sure you have a return policy if you go forward with the purchase. I'm just concerned with all the rims hits

Yea I haven't purchased. This is the seller photos. I noticed the rim shot to and forgot to add that earlier. Ok, I'll keep pondering on it. Not to sure if I will purchase or not. I can return it if not. Decide this coming weekend.

Not enough light to see surface details clearly.

As others have said, tough to judge from these pics. Looks at least MS64, decent shot at 65.
If the seller has a solid return policy and the coin was priced right, I'd take a stab at it for under $100.

Can't get a good feel from your pics, but the luster seems to be there. Probably original.

Looks good but if not slabbed and/or inexpensive, I'd pass. Certain places are getting too good at counterfeiting. I picked up a slabbed PCGS MS65 for $115 a while back.

I agree, more lighting needed to see the surfaces better.
