1883-H VF35 Canada 5c - Can You Help?

Hello, I am looking for information on this coin.

I was told by a local coin dealer that the mintage
is 900,000 and that it's a small mintage amount in
the "world of coins." Is he correct on either account?

I recently inherited my father's coin collection and it
would be nice to know something about some of his coins.

Any information- mintage, value, etc is appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any responses........

Hi, and, Welcome to the Forum....

According to the Charlton Catalogue, the mintage is 600,000, and, yes thats a small mintage in the "World of Coins"

Also, Canadian Coin News (Trends section) has the value of a VF-20 at $150.00, and a EF-40 at $275.00, so your should be in between.
