Opportunities for those among us who love coins and have an eye for grading... https://www.PCGS.com/job/grader"The coin market is good and business is booming at PCGS. We need some talent to help us grade all the coins people are sending us.
If you're a really good coin grader... If you'd like to spend your days looking at coins.... If you'd like to have a very stable, high paying job... Then PCGS is the place for you!"No, I'm not recruiter.

Not sure I could do this. Coins are my escape from work. If coins became my job, to where would I then escape?

I think it would be a gas for about three days, then I'd go stir crazy.

Wonder if PCGS has a Coinstar machine in the break room. How much fun would that be...

It's all fun and games until managers meeting their metrics and stockholders demanding perpetual profit increases remind you what actually matters in life. They are now privately owned, so maybe they can put a little more focus on the quality of the product and the passion of the hobby again.

Not the greatest job in the world . Anyone worth their salt in the coin business would do way better working For themselves .

What do they pay? I have no clue. I wonder if employees--especially graders--must sign a non-disclosure agreement.

It would be fun for a few days. But I know I could not endure the steady pace of coins coming at me hour after hour, day after day.

Imagine the diversity of the stuff you'd see--pristine Peace dollars, lustrous '39 Canada dollars, road rash/parking lot '97 memorial cents...

This sounds sounds like it's worth trying.

Dunno about at PCGS but at NGC you request your salary on your application.

My eyes would probably blow up. Just had cataract operations.
I have a 24 inch monitor as a peripheral off my laptop just so I can now see things reasonably well.
Coin graders at the coal face don't have that luxury.
