I hope I'm doing this right, one topic per post. On closer examination, I noticed a difference between these 2 same year pennies. The rim is definitely thicker on one, and same for the overall thickness.

Weight?
Does it stick to a magnet?
Can you post full coin pics of both sides?

The last photo is an optical illusion. Check the far right or left and the thickness appears equal.

Well, the one on the right looks to be much more sharply struck, that should account for the difference in the edges/rims.. I don't have any Charlton after 20012 so all the 2011 is not in there. I understand , though, that there were 2 types of cents struck .... uncirc sets, and brilliant UNC sets. Maybe some didn't have the steel core.

I see 201 in the one photo which narrow it down a lot but there were several version of each coins struck per year for the zinc and steel core cents.

Never hold a coin that way if you think it may be valuable, that finger print can cut the value back a lot. Wight is important so if you have a scale it would help but all I can tell from the pictures is that it's two different 1cent coin 1 with a more distinctly edged rim. More info would be needed, I just see a normal coin from the pictures.

Edit: Didn't notice the second set of photos, must have missed them.

For 2011 you have 2 types a zinc which is none magnetic and one that is steel and is magnetic. They did have different rims.

Perfectly normal. One has a slightly weaker collar die strike. You'll find that the copper plated steel coins may not appear as well struck as the softer copper plated zinc versions.
