I was wondering how everyone is collecting them. Are you collecting one from each mint mark (busi & satin) or two from each mint, in pos "A & B" with the edge writing facing up & down? I didnt know the new Sac dollars were going to edge writing, but even so why did they move the date off the face? It looks like something is missing!

I agree -- the Sac dollar, now known as the 'Native American' dollar does look weird without a date.

As far as how I collect them... Being in VA - I'm doing only the P mint for now. When I get my hands on a cheap roll, I go through it and pull the best 2 or 3 for my collection. The rest go back to the bank (or get spent).

About the new Sac dollar... I'd heard that the Sac dollar series is over and this Native American dollar is the start of something new. But it sure seems like a continuation to me. Having the same image of Sacagawea the face - it sure seems like a Sac dollar to me. A Lincoln Cent is still a Lincoln Cent, whether it is a wheat or a memorial reverse.

As far as collecting the new "Sac" Native American dollar I just will try and get p mint marks at the bank and D mint marks in a trade. Or Just do the direct ship program from the mint

I actually found a new Sac dollar with no edge writing. Don't have a camera with me so I can't take pictures but it was an interesting find. How much would this be worth?

And to Chris: are you sure it's a new one? Then the mint messed up again!
Can you give us your geographical location what what mint it's from? There's bound to be more, then.

I heard they are struck really weak on the sides. Is yours just completely not there or really weak?
